My Story

My daughter, Lucy, and I are taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge by Rail (Yr Wyddfa/Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis) to raise funds for the Railway Children.  They are a charity working in the UK, India & Tanzania to identify young people at risk of harm at and around railway and bus stations, giving them the lifechanging support they need to build a brighter future.  You can read more about the Railway Children here.

Every year thousands of children across the UK, India and Tanzania run away or are forced to leave homes that have become unbearable through poverty, abuse, violence and neglect.  Reaching a child as soon as possible is crucial to getting to children on the streets before an abuser can, and before they become entrenched in street life.

Lucy and I climbed Yr Wyddfa/Snowdon last summer (our profile picture is us at the summit).  In June, we’ll attempt all three peaks in 48 hours, travelling by train to each mountain.  Please give generously to help protect children living alone and at risk on the streets.
